19+ Policy
Who can play at Sudbury Casino?
Players aged 19 and over. No exceptions.
This covers real-money games, demo play, promotions and Sudbury Rewards. Anyone under 19 cannot open an account, cannot hold one and cannot play on someone else's.
Players are welcome only in areas whose local laws allow it. We also meet Canadian requirements for age verification, ID checks and anti-money laundering.
How can parents block gambling sites?
Most devices and home networks already include the tools you need:
- Device settings: built-in parental controls on phones, tablets and computers can restrict sites and apps by age.
- App store restrictions: require a password before any app is downloaded or bought.
- Router filtering: many home routers can block gambling categories for every device on the network.
- Filtering software: dedicated programs block gambling sites and send alerts when someone tries to reach one.
It also helps to discuss gambling honestly with the young people in your life. The YMCA Youth Gambling Awareness Program provides free resources for youth and families.
How do you check age?
When signing up, every player gives their date of birth. Before a first deposit can go through, we check it against trusted electronic data sources.
If electronic verification can't confirm you, we request government photo ID, for instance a passport or a driver's licence, plus proof of address. You can't deposit until we have confirmed your age and your location.
We can repeat these checks at any point, including before a withdrawal. Full details are on our KYC & AML Policy.
How do you handle an account used by a minor?
Action is immediate:
- We close the account immediately and stop all play.
- Any money deposited goes back to the card or method it came from.
- Any winnings are void.
- We flag the details to stop that person from registering again.
Under our Player Agreement, if the adult who owns an account opens it to a minor, that adult loses the account too.
How do I protect minors on a family device?
Shared laptops, tablets and phones are common at home. Use these quick habits to keep young players away from our lobby:
- Log out after every session.
- Stop your browser from storing passwords.
- Use a separate user profile for children on shared computers.
- Secure your device using face ID, a PIN or a fingerprint.
- Keep cards and e-wallets out of reach.
- Avoid playing while children are watching.
Our Cookies and Tracking page explains how to clear stored login data from a browser.
How can I tell you about a player who is underage?
Send an email to support@sudburycasino.app with Underage Report as the subject. Add the username or whatever information you can share. Every report is acted upon, and your identity stays confidential.
